Just a few days ago they were so tiny! But they eat and eat and then we noticed them molting and suddenly - so big! Whew and the jar is just FULL of, um, "frass".
The kids seem extra funny these days. I think it's the cold weather. It got down into the 30s last night here, which I know, all you northerns think 30! Pshaw! But 30-something is mighty cold when all your winter clothes are packed away and your house is made of concret blocks!Yesterday, we were going downstairs and Annalise was trying to get ahead of me, so I said, "Wait!" and she thought I said, "Wave!" so she turned around and waved happily before heading down the stairs (the child walks downstairs already, she cannot help herself for some reason, she never really crawled down them at all). Then once we were downstairs I was telling Caleb about writing some notes, and Annalise thought I said, "Nose" so she got all excited and started mashing her nose. I thought, "Wow, what's with this kid's hearing?" but later on I was reading a recipe and muttering to myself, "hmm, I don't have a tube pan" and Caleb said, "Why don't we have a toucan?"
Caleb and his chalk jellyfish. He also drew a balloon and a turtle with two heads. (The turtle was pretty abstract and could have been interpreted many different ways).
