Funny Things Caleb is Saying These Days

1. Up - ok, up's not a funny word in and of itself, but it's the way he says it. He comes up to me saying "Ma ma, ma ma" looking very serious and holding his arms up. I look down at him and he says, "Uh uh uh". I don't correct everything he says, in fact I don't think I correct anything else but this, uh uh uh ANNOYS me!!! So I told him, "No Caleb, the word is UP - with a PUH at the end. So now he comes up to me, looks very serious, holds up his arms and says, "Uh uh...PUH!" Or sometimes it's "Uh...puh, puh, puh!"

2. Tall - again, not funny, but they way he says it's like his deeming things tallness. He stacks three blocks and majestically pronounces the stack, "Tall!"

3. Melon - the way this comes out is completely vowel free, it's like "mllln".

4. Pillow - his version is "bo-bo" and he's discovered the joy of making a pile of them and diving into them. This makes making the bed a real challenge for me.

5. Outside - which comes out more like "owe-zi" and is where he wants to be...all the time...regardless of weather or time of day.

6. Dog/Cracker - I still don't understand why he uses the same word for both of these - "ga-ga", I guess because we seem to know when he means one or the other. It usually is clear contextually.
