After watching his cousins paint wooden airplanes on YouTube this morning, Caleb got the chance to give painting with a brush a try. I let him play with finger paints last week. I didn't know, but he knows the color blue - because he pointed at the blue bottle saying "Bu! Bu!"
It seemed kind of like a rainy afternoon activity (although we usually don't play outside in the afternoon because it's too hot), but while Caleb painted, it rained like crazy. The news didn't report any place getting more than 2 inches, but my Bank of Bearden rain gauge measured THREE INCHES! And it only rained for an HOUR! It is pretty notorious here for raining during the hour most people are driving home. I've been on the roads during those storms and it's the only time people slow down around here. I'm really glad we didn't have to be out in the elements this afternoon.

I was coming home when I saw the lightening strikes and the ominous clouds. I was very happy to be home myself.
