Mini Semester Wrap Up

We took advantage of a local homeschool community's mini semester for the last six weeks. The girls took a ballet class and Caleb took a class called Jr. Scientists.

Our ballerinas :)
The teacher provided the colored tutu skirts.
They did a couple of dances for the parents today:

After the first class, Annalise told me she was disappointed that it wasn't at a real ballet studio with "mirrors and bars", but I think she got past that.  She also was the oldest student by almost 2 years.  Generally she gets along well with littler girls though.  They did learn quite a bit and she has never been in a ballet class before, so it was a good taste of ballet.

Caleb's class basically did all the experiments in a prepared kit.  I'm not sure he learned any specific science to go with it.  They did the Mentos and diet soda thing today and he liked that a lot!  He said that he and several other kids ran into the spray.  Afterwards they had connectors to make the bottles into water tornadoes.  He was all about that!

Up next - VBS and then...hopefully we'll have those swimming lessons we missed last summer because of Caleb's hospitalization.
