We went to the zoo with some friends on Wednesday and I'm just now getting around to posting about it!

Our zoo has all these half-submerged animals to play on. One of it's many features that seems to be more captivating than the actual animals! Probably because when you go and it's blazing hot, the animals are not doing anything more interesting than trying to keep cool.

Annalise in the aquarium part of the aviary. This is actually my favorite part of the zoo.
Both of our kids are fascinated with fish...I wonder if that is genetic...

Another non-animal and extremely popular attraction is the splash park.

And another highlight - feeding a giraffe. They said this one was the baby.
Baby giraffes are born 6 feet tall! I thought he looked kind of cute :)

Tyler will be jealous that Caleb got to ride a camel! He asked me just the other day if he could ride one. He rode an elephant at a circus a few years ago, but I'm not sure he remembers it. Looks like you had a fun day. I can see why you were tired. :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't really planning for him to ride the camel, but my friend had a coupon. Both the camel ride and feeding the giraffe were overpriced, but getting to be that close to the giraffe was pretty cool just the same.
