For the first time I can remember since moving to Florida, it actually felt sort of normal for Halloween - we had a big cold front come through this week and stick around for a few days. In my experience, it was unusually early and unusually long. Not that I'm complaining! I LOVED it!

A few highlights from our week! We made POPCORN BALLS!!! Yum!

Annalise's first artwork! Painting with a q-tip, the rest got on her face, in her mouth, etc.

Caleb made a big hairy spider - and he really did do most of it himself.

Because our weather is so unfavorable to pumpkins, we waited until the 30
th to get a pumpkin, and this is the biggest one Rob and Caleb could find! Caleb was thrilled with it though because they got one of those mini-pumpkins for Annalise and by comparison his was enormous!

We actually kept the pumpkin in the
refrigerator overnight to keep it fresh enough to last overnight.

Awe, baby pumpkin with big brother pumpkin!

Annalise as a ladybug - I think she liked wearing the antenna!

Caleb as Thomas the Tank Engine! We added a "belt" inside the costume at the last minute. It held the bottom of the back of the costume to Caleb's back and kept the front from dipping so far down.

Annalise with Miss Kelly from the station.

The station hosted a booth at a Homestead event called the Boo Bash, the part they were in was a Trunk or Treat - This is Julio, he's a college student who hosts the afternoon show.

Caleb's snake!

And!!! Caleb's Thomas costume won one of the costume prizes at the Boo Bash! It was a big bowl filled with art supplies, quite fitting!!!

So now we've got a big bucket full of candy and are looking forward to something really scary - November 4
th!
Congratulations to Caleb's costume designer. Annalise looked sweet! And I agree, Nov fourth will be scarier than last night was.
