If you click on the little link called "Belly Pics" at the bottom, you can compare my months and you might think I'm making unimpressive progress - and in a way, I am. My fundal height is actually behind by a few weeks. My midwife said that it is probably because the baby is lying sideways (transverse) right now. If she stays in that position, I will have no option except a c-section - not the most radical natural birth advocate would want to attempt a vaginal birth with a baby in this pose. However, I still have 5 weeks until we have to make a decision and being sideways is actually a glass half full sort of position - you could look at it as being halfway turned head down...or halfway turned breech!
Regardless, I have gained 1lb more than the recommended amount to gain, so I'm not behind in THAT respect! I have a 3rd ultrasound tomorrow to check her growth progress.
