North Carolina: Little Things

The first few days we did not see any animals larger than a bird, but Annalise has always noticed insects and she also is in a bug class at our enrichment group, so she had her eye out for any unusual insects - and North Carolina has plenty!   There are many more insect pictures I plan to share.

 We are also excessively excited by fall leaves since all the fallen leaves here are small and brown and in all other ways similar.

We also noticed small flowers and made several bouquets.

I'd like to know what butterfly this is if anyone knows!
