I know!
Turns out being of "advanced maternal age" has its advantages! The results of my harmony test came back today. We are very thankful that everything returned normal (it has a 99% accuracy for detecting chromosomal abnormalities) and I know the gender! We want to tell the kids in a more dramatic way, so I am working on that and Rob has decided he wants to be surprised with them, so it is my little secret!! I knew they were going to call and I was really hoping they wouldn't call while I was near the kids and they all happened to be playing upstairs when the phone rang. Of course at the last minute, Caleb ran into the kitchen. He somehow knew what the call was about and as soon as I hung up he said, "I heard her say girl!" But there is no way he heard that because she did not tell me the gender using the word "girl" or "boy". Still - he or she is one of them and I know which one!

ReplyDeleteIt's SO much fun knowing early! I did a similar test at only 9 weeks (Panorama) and got the results when I was 11 weeks along. I was on the fence about finding the gender out so soon, but I'm so glad I got to know so soon. It was like a gift to find out who's joining our family so much sooner than the 20 week scan! I can't wait to find out who's joining your family AND the creative way in which you're going to spill the beans!
