Items checked off our To Do Lists

When my dad was a boy, his grandpa gave him firecrackers for Christmas, so he likes to shoot them off at Christmas still :)

These were just firecrackers, not pretty - and Caleb was just holding the punk, no one was burned our hurt!

One of Caleb's requests was to "chop down a tree with an ax".  Check!  I think they chopped down 5.

On the way home, Rob wanted to drive through Enterprise, Alabama to see the Boll Weevil monument.  This is a statue at the city hall.

They are boll weevil crazy in Enterprise.

This is the actual monument.  Enterprise used to farm cotton, but the boll weevil wiped them out and they started planting peanuts - made them rich!  So they are grateful to the boll weevil.  Today I think they may grow both.
