The Conversation Starter

So I've mentioned before that people like to talk to us about Natalie's hair.  The funny thing I've noticed recently is how much I've learned about other people because of her hair!  People seem to want to talk about their own families when they see her hair.  Just last week three men told me things about their families and all because they stopped to say something about her hair.

The first man I met told me he and his brothers are all big tall men, but their dad is a really short man.

The second man had a red haired child - he was hispanic - he said he and his mother both had dark hair, but his grandmother had red hair.

The third man started out noticing Natalie and then noticed C & A and told me he had 3 kids - also a boy and two girls and that one of his daughters was in the military and was being send home with PTSD.  Her name is Molika.  I told him we would pray for her.

If this is going to be a trend, maybe she should be a therapist when she grows up!

  1. Okay, I have to admit that now that I have a granddaughter with red hair I'm quick to find other kids with red hair and comment that we have one in our family too. Guess it is a good conversation starter ;-)

    1. At least half of the people who comment on her hair are grandparents with red headed grandkids!
