Sunflower Update

In case you were wondering how our sunflowers were growing...

Closely spaced in the garden box.  They are intentionally stairstepped, we get a lot of southern sunlight, altough it is starting to get higher in the sky as the summer nears.  I think the ones we planted later will not get as big as Big Boy, but I guess time will tell.  The tallest one is Big Boy and the two on either side are nicknamed the Two Tall Sisters.  We name plants, yes, we are weird.

One of the Two Tall Sisters is starting to get her flower.  Big Boy is also starting to get it, but this Sister is further along.  She is nearer the house and gets less light.
