Christmas in July...almost

Because I had it in my mind that she would be born in July, Natalie seemed like a kind of inappropriate name for our baby if she turned out to be a girl - and she did - since it means, basically, born at Christmas. But I have once been to a "Christmas in July" party, so maybe it wasn't too far off ;)

Regardless, she surprised us early because when I went in for my last OB visit on Wednesday (June 23rd), I had already dilated to 5 cm - how, I have no idea because I had not had any contractions other than Braxton Hicks. Clarissa said the baby would be born that day and she was - at 10:31pm, weighing 6lbs 3oz, seeming so tiny to me! But she is a healthy, hungry little girl and doing her best to keep me up at night, so I must keep this brief!

Being our 3rd c-section, I thought I had seen it all for the "Dad suit", but this hospital's outfit was particularly unique! And on that subject, I am so proud of Rob, he does not like anything medical and he has always done so well sitting by my side during these surgeries.

Our sweet Natalie.

Look at those long fingers!

I think Annalise grew a foot taller while I was in the hospital. She told me herself, "I not a baby, I BIG girl!"

Check out my stylish, hospital issue, non-slip socks :)

On the way home, hooray!
