About 20 miles north of the Tennessee border. I've never really thought of Kentucky as a vacation destination, but we've passed by lots of caves, Abraham Lincoln historic sites (which I visited with my parents back in '97), and the Corvette museum! We also saw the Six Flags where the girl's feet were cut off in Louisville. What a state! ;)
Caleb and Annalise must be worn out from all the fun, they are both sleeping a lot more on this leg of our journey.
(Early Afternoon)
Just north of Louisville, Kentucky. It's a drizzly day in central Kentucky, but the rocky views make me think that this will be a great area for pit-stops when Caleb and Annalise are bigger. I spent a summer in southern Kentucky back in college and there are tons of great places for hiking and spelunking here!
Rob and I just realized with glee that our next hour of driving is a freebee - we are almost to the central time zone!
(Morning)
We're on our way to the deep south - Arkansas. Yesterday we left Rob's parents home in Cleveland to spend the night at his grandma's house in Columbus. Our plan is to drive til around suppertime and stop in or near Jackson, Tennessee.
Here are a few pictues highlighting our visit in Cleveland:
Caleb enjoyed playing in what little snow there was, riding the bouncy horse, and mimicking us bowling with the Wii.
Annalise liked watching Christmas tree lights, gurgling and cooing, and keeping everyone up as late as she could.
