6. How long do you think this silly trend will last?
(*Silly Bandz are overpriced rubberband bracelets, when not worn they have a particular shape. They come in a large variety of colors and shapes. And actually I didn't know they ended in z until I googled them.)

There are tons of knock-offs, though, and you can actually get them as cheap as $1. My pet peeve is kids wearing a ton of them at once. They're going to cut off the circulation to their hand! My kids are limited to 7-10 at a time. (I'm so mean.) Tyler doesn't care for them much.
they are popular here too. Gwen got one from somewhere but she just carries it around saying "dolphin" (it's in that shape). I think it's silly...but I remember the phase where we all brought cool aid mixed with sugar to school and ate it with our fingers... gross. It will soon be so yesterday. No, I haven't worn any...but I've been tempted to get the glow in the dark ones for myself.
ReplyDeleteI end up wearing them when I find them around the house...and we don't even have 7-10 of them! Every now and again someone gives the kids one or two. I don't think they are very comfortable to wear.
ReplyDeleteFor you youngsters: I can remember several fads of the past. Trolls were big in the late 50s/early 60s. Pet rocks even got to the point of having their own wardrobes. Then there were the mood stone rings that changed color with your mood (always wondered if that was a way to tell someone had PMS). They almost had a revival not too long ago. The question is not how long will the fad last, it's WHAT will replace it?
