5 months

There was some debate in my Bible study yesterday about how many months I am. Another mom there is 20 weeks along and said she was 5 months pregnant, so I must be 6, but the way I look at it is, there are 4 months until my due date, so I can't be more than 5 months pregnant today.

Another item from Bible study, it was unanimously thought that I have a "girl belly", whereas, Clarissa (based on the heartbeat - 140s consistently) says boy. I don't know what to think, I had been leaning boy because of Clarissa, but they are right, it is more wide than pointy.

How far along? 2 days shy of 23 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 17lbs

Maternity clothes? mostly, I can still wear my two "adjustable" pants and none of my maternity clothes are really meant for cooler weather. Since we've had multiple cold fronts, I've just made do a lot.

Stretch marks? no

Sleep: better than I expected. I had gotten used to waking up at 4 every night and having trouble going back to sleep, but lately even if I wake up, getting back to sleep is not that hard.

Movement: yes

Food cravings: not as intense as they have been

Labor Signs: none

Belly Button in or out? in-ish, working towards being flat

Wedding rings on or off? on

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach!!

What I am looking forward to: meeting the baby!

Milestones: had an ultrasound today and baby is 1lb 3oz

  1. you're looking great Leah! I cannot believe you are that far along. My life is flashing before me. I vote boy. I think the statistics are that more boys are born in the US than girls... so I think that is a safer bet.

  2. You do look great! Danielle was giggling at dinner tonight because her art teacher is pregnant and Danielle was telling us she could see her belly button through her shirt. She thought that was so funny!

  3. Well, if we're going to keep the grandkids even it has to be a boy--4 girls, 4 boys. But I'm not partial. Either one is fine. Grandpa keeps looking at all the babies. I think he's ready to hold another.

  4. I love Caleb's face peeking into this picture. Thanks for the update. You're adorable! I always missed the tummy sleeping, too...
