A Few Pretty Much Unrelated Pictures

A dead starfish found on Ft. Myers Beach. Actually there were a lot of dead sea creatures in the tide pools. My guess is it got too cold for them.

I don't know what is funnier about this picture - the big shoes or look on her face. Annalise thinks this is playing, but I call this her first chore - she unloads the non-sharp utensils from the dishwasher into a big cup we store them in. The Big Cup started out as a way to store the forks and stuff while I was too busy with a newborn to keep Caleb out of the drawer, but it is a really easy way for her to help put things away.

Annalise and her sock puppet - a Christmas gift from her Seattle cousins - not the puppet - a sock puppet kit, the puppet it the product of the kit and the kids think it is hilarious when the sock puppets talk!

Caleb and the sprayza, another Christmas gift from Seattle. They are sort of airbrush markers and the effect is really nice. He can't really do it that well though, so when he plays with it, I end up spraying a lot.

Annalise talking to a caterpillar in the garden.

Caleb's new art kit from Grandma Ramsay - it's a puppy.

Riding the bus! It's a long story why Rob had to drive this people mover from Naples to Clewiston, but he let Caleb ride along and he was thrilled to be in a regular seat on an actual bus! We weighed him this morning at Publix and he has gained a pound! Maybe he won't be a teenager before he gets out of his carseat!

She was REEEEEEALLY cold!

They are dancing/running in a circle and singing. It was so funny :)

And presenting - cooker girl! She's seasoning potatoes, I know they look like apple wedges. I like that Annalise is starting to be big enough to help cook and so does she. Granted, her desire to help exceeds her ability, which makes cooking take a lot longer, but I'm not as naive as I once was when it comes to cooking with kids, so it is easier for me to find jobs that she can do...and my expectations are lower!

In other news, tomorrow we are making a 2nd try at potty training. I have two thoughts about it - either it is going to work this time, or if the 3rd time's a charm, we'd better just get the 2nd time over with!

  1. Good luck with the potty training! Second time was a charm with Wilson.

And I totally need to get Finch onto unloading our utensils...

  2. Thanks! Today went much better than our first try a few months ago.
