Sundries

Not that much going on down here, nothing really worthy of a whole blog all to itself, but more of an assortment of things.

Rob is to be congratulated on reaching an impressive milestone...or mileage I guess. The red car rolled over to the big two-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh this week and here's the video to prove it:

Rob and I also celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, but really on Wednesday since he had to work on the west coast until late on Tuesday. We went to Stir Moon where Caleb ordered "Kid Sushi" - and that's not his cute way of saying it, that's what it's actually called on the menu. The yellow one is an egg sushi.

Annalise has been adding a lot of words to her vocabulary, however it's going to be a long while before anyone outside of...well me...understands what she's saying. She says "ab-le" for both "apple" and "open" and she says "ba-ba" for ball, baby, balloon, bug, and bubble. In context of course it's always perfectly clear what she means! She also says "nigh-nigh" (good-night), hi, bye-bye, and twice has said "Mako" as clear as a bell. I have not yet even once heard her try to say "Caleb", but she will sign "Caleb" occassionally. She also has a word for crayon, but I can't remember how she says it.

The chrysalis is darkening, I think it should be in this for 2 weeks. I haven't seen so much as an ant near it, so I guess this is a good spot. We did see a tiny new caterpillar yesterday, but I could not find it today. It was much smaller than the first caterpillar was when we first saw it. Getting a picture was impossible.

And I...well I had a triumphant moment this week when I realized I had miscalculated my age and am actually a year younger than I thought I was!

  1. Next time we're together, maybe Tyler & Caleb can hit the sushi bar together.

  2. Now I feel better about my age mistake. I was so concerned about turning 62 that I actually thought I was 62 and when my birthday came I thought I was going to be 63. Whew!
