Off to the OB's office today. After measuring my belly, the doctor said he felt like I have a pretty good chance at having a successful VBAC because the baby is not big. He said she is not engaged/dropped and there is no way to know if she'll drop in advance of labor (like a 1st baby) or right before (like a subsequent baby) since we don't know what happened with Caleb. Same goes for my labor - as to what to expect for length. I think the bottom line with this VBAC is that I am going to be under a real deadline to have the baby - 20 hours give or take. If my progress doesn't satisfy them, I'm pretty sure I'll be wheeled off to a c-section. I know it can take longer than 20 hours, so I really hope and pray that I will have a faster labor than that. If it is really necessary to have a c-section - fine, but I don't want to have one if I really could deliver this baby naturally.
Otherwise, I haven't gained any weight in about 2 weeks - not a big deal for the 9th month and the doctor didn't seem to think I'm all that likely to go into labor before my next appointment and, although I'd LOVE to have the baby tonight, we are going to have serious logistical issues with Caleb if I go into labor before my mom gets here!
Meanwhile, we are getting ready. My hospital bag is about half packed and I have washed mounds of baby clothes.

Caleb "helps" as much as he can! He seems to understand that the tiny clothes are for the baby. Unfortunately he has purposely tipped both bouncy seats over this week. He likes to be involved, which has made sorting bags of hand-me-downs quite challenging.
But I need the distractions, it's too annoying to think about waiting for labor to start.
