Caleb is almost 15 months old. I read many many months ago that by 15 months, babies can understand almost everything that is said to them even though they can't really talk back. I can definitely tell he understands a lot, which is fun.
I also read that around this age they can start identifying body parts, like pointing to their mouth or nose when you ask where it is. So I started asking Caleb where this and that was. I got no response on eyes, nose, or ears. What I did get was tongue and bellybutton. You ask this kid where his bellybutton is and he holds up his shirt (he's glad to find yours as well). Ask him about his tongue and he shows it to you! What a funny little guy!
Can he touch his nose with that thing? :)
