The City of Homestead has a great event every December called "Breakfast with Santa" - they have a big pancake breakfast, crafts, "snow" (that is, a big mound of shaved ice) to play in, and of course, Santa makes an appearance.I guess when you are making a few thousand pancakes, you need something a little more industrial than Pam, hence the "Waffle Off".
Caleb made his first official craft. The duck ornament ended up completely black except for a small patch of blue. Not very Christmas-y, but he had a lot of fun.
The face painting booth had a new approach, they stamped a pattern on the kids faces and then colored it in. The only drawback is the stamp lasted a lot longer than the paint, so Caleb still had a pale snowman outline on his cheek at church the next day. If you look closely, you can see the Call FM banner in the background - Call FM was a sponsor for the event.
Here's it is "snowing" in Florida.
And of course - Santa Claus, who Caleb wanted NOTHING to do with. You can't tell in this picture, but Santa's beard has gotten kind of out of control - all you could see was his eyes - no mouth, no nose! Actually Rob thinks this guy was a back-up, evidentally Santa helps out the Homestead Police because Rob saw another guy dressed in red riding off in a police car.
