New Room Update

While the kids and I were VBSing last week, Rob was making headway on the new room.  He was also involved the crab catching, and anything I post here about that will be redundant to what he's already posted on facebook, but I'll get some crab pictures here eventually.  Maybe.

So this is more or less what the outlets look like in the room.  There are 5 and that seems like a lot to me, but that's what's on the blueprints that that's what's going in. We had the electrical inspection last week and passed!

Over the weekend, he installed this ceiling fan.  It was pretty dramatic to have real ceiling light in the room.  You can see one outlet is installed (behind Irene) and the switches are in and working.  One of the switches controls the outlet in the back.

This doesn't look too pretty, but this is significant to me - we've had the two holes for almost a year and it's been annoying keeping them covered and keeping kids off of them.  Plus they were an eyesore - so even though the concrete filling isn't attractive, it's an improvement!

Peek a boo!
It seems like so much has been done and it's still not done.  We have one more inspection before we can hang drywall.

And unrelated - our sensitive plant (or touch-me-not or shameplant or whatever you want to call it) - its leaves close when you touch them - has been blooming and they are such fun, puffy flowers.
