Incentives

The kids had fallen into a bad habit of neglecting to do something that should be routine.  It was something that I could not be sure who was to blame and something they were all doing a little too frequently even after being reminded.  As I was mulling over whether this was the sort of thing that required an incentive program or a punishment, Annalise came up with her own idea.  She cut paper into cards and wrote small rewards on each one.  Her idea was that each time they did "the thing they were neglecting to do", they could pull a card.  In the end, I decided that we would deal with this differently, but her suggestions were very amusing!

Her handwriting can be much neater than this...
My question was, "What is it exactly you want to do?"

I had no idea there was any jealously over the beds!

To this I said, "Sure, during her nap!"

Again, "Do what exactly?"

I had no idea this was something she'd like to do.  I think I'll let her do in one day when I know we aren't going anywhere.
