A lot of the projects in the book call for oil pastels, and you can definitely use crayons in their place, but...crayons don't have quite as satisfying color. Our oil pastels are actually MY oil pastels and used only when Mommy brings them out of their hiding place.
Hmm, I think I have some oil pastels hidden around here somewhere. Those look really nice.
