Don't take another step!
Do people do this in your neighborhood? For whatever reason, people here chronically steal shopping carts and dump them in canals. I guess these two crabs are thinking "artificial reef".
We've already had one at the front door and one in the backyard...and I think they are just getting started :)
That crab in the 2nd picture looks fierce! What kind of crabs are they? I realize they're blue, but they don't look like the blue crabs we had in Alabama.

ReplyDeleteI think they are called land crabs or maybe blue land crabs. For some reason when they are underwater some of them look reddish too.
ReplyDeleteI was always afraid of them. After living in Miami it took me so long to thing a leaf blowing across the road wasn't a crab.
