Now being a crayon snob, I would not buy Rose Art crayons at an actual store, but in these grab bags, sometimes there are a lot of Rose Art supplies. (If it is clear that they are mostly Rose Art, I won't buy them - not even for a quarter.) But there are a lot of Crayola supplies too and sometimes rare shades like:
Or an entire study in one color:
And sometimes the bag will have a mix of crayons and markers. Most recently I admired a bag-o-crayons and the seller just gave it to me. In it were three colors of "Silly Scents"
Now I'm sure you are wondering how many crayons we have - I can't say for certain, but we lined them up neatly in an old baby wipes box (neatly so as to fit more in) and each row had about 30 crayons and I am pretty sure the box was about 10 rows deep. That's our reserve.
I'm a crayon snob, too. Rose Art crayons are too waxy. I always stock up on Crayola crayons when Walmart has their school supply sale in the fall. Crayola crayons are usually 25 cents a box and Crayola markers are usually 99 cents.
ReplyDeleteAnd you girls aren't even art majors ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice post, Leah. Creative and artfully done.
I'm still hung up on beaver and I can't even fathom the drool smell.
ReplyDeleteYes, Beaver cracks me up! I love Crayola. Burnt Sienna was the most exotic color I remember. I can't wait until Simon gets to the age when he's able to color. I will have fun seeing what's new :-)
