30 weeks - Sorry, No Belly Pic

Here is Caleb holding a bean we grew - our neighbors are from Slovakia and they gave us some beans to grow that are from there. The beans are not mature yet, but that didn't keep Annalise from picking one. I opened it up and showed the tiny, immature beans to the kids. I told them that it was kind of like the baby - that if he or she was born now, he or she would be small and not really ready to be born. Then I scooped Annalise up and took her inside before she could pick more beans!

We have made some progress in the nap department with Annalise. I changed Caleb's break time to 60 minutes, but he gets a little more variety - he can read books or rest or draw and color. Annalise has the same 60 minutes, but behind the baby-gate in their room. She usually looks at books or plays a little, but a couple times she has snuggled up and gone to sleep! So she is totally out of the crib day and night and that is great because although I am still keeping up pretty well, changing the crib sheet was starting to be beyond my ability!

My c-section has been scheduled for July 1st at 1:30pm. Which makes me realize that thinking of being pregnant during July is kind of silly for me - I should only be pregnant in July for a little over 12 hours! But that doesn't mean I'm getting to miss out being pregnant during the long hot summer! We've already broken out the swimsuits because we skipped directly from winter to summer - tomorrow the high is 88.

  2. It can't decide whether it wants to be summer or spring here. Yesterday 84; tomorrow 60s. Telling my yellow chocolate story today at a banquet. If your ears burn today, you'll know why ;-)
