It's Over!

Hurricane Season 2009 ends today and we had:

0 hurricanes
0 named storms
0 watches
0 warnings
0 evacuation orders

hooray! Now to move on to that whirlwind called Chrismtas-time!

Caleb asked for days for me to bring out "the stable". He took to heart my stern warnings about dropping the pieces on the floor and so far we have only one leg broken off of the sheep, that's sort of a record for us!

Annalise with the famed 9-foot-tall tree.
And by the way, this picture is not backwards, the ornament is :)

Happy End of Hurricane Season and Merry Christmas!

  1. Congratulations on making it through the storm season! I had to catch up on the history of your 9-foot-tree. That's amazing! We finally bought a 9-footer this year, but maybe if we'd waited a little longer, someone would have given us one...?

  2. Maybe we would have! Hopefully before next Christmas we will be in a different house and who knows if we will have any ceilings as tall as this ever again!

  3. your tree looks very nice. I love your big tree. We've put ours up and Gwen loves it. She smiles really big and says tree all the time. She also enjoys taking the plastic ornaments off and throwing them while saying "ball". :) Up until this point I've just let her. I've got to pick my battles these days.

  4. Good for you Meredith :) My kids constantly take them off and Caleb love to wrap them up and give them to me and Rob as gifts. I just let him. It's not that important.
