I was listening on and off to a democratic debate the other day and heard one candidate say, "The only reason someone wouldn't go to the doctor is because they can't afford health care." which struck me as funny because I know for a fact that Rob avoids going to the doctor because he hates all things medical, beginning with needles and extending to waiting room magazines. Personally I have chosen not to go to the doctor at least once because I didn't want to wait 3 hours past my scheduled appointment (actually I left the office at that point). I'm not saying health care costs aren't out of control, I'm just saying, that's not the only reason people don't go to the doctor.
On the republican side, more than one candidate said, "America's brightest/best days are ahead of us." which struck me as an easy thing to say because whose to say they are not? Who knows! And by the time we do know, it will be too late for this election.
*Sigh*
Well of equal importance...
Caleb's speech seems even more "understandable" than it did before we went on the Robbins Family World Tour. He still needs a translator most of the time, but I'm hearing more letters in his words (i.e. "green" instead of "geen")
Yesterday I was drying him off from his bath and he saw himself in the mirror. He smiled and said, "I'm Mary!" meaning, Mary the mother of Jesus. :) I guess he thought Mary was wearing a hooded towel in all those nativity sets he saw last month!
It is equally alarming that Hillary won the primary in New Hampshire. (horror) That's cute about Caleb saying he's Mary.
