This all started when Annalise asked for a paper doll. Annalise loves paper dolls, it is really funny and sweet to me. She often asks me to cut her a page of dolls and she will spend a lot of time coloring each one - one will be the princess, one the queen, one the bad lady. Then she'll need a page of man dolls to be kings, princes, and robbers. Once they're all ready, she will play with them just as earnestly as she would with regular dolls. Maybe it is even more fun for her - since she can customize her characters.
Occasionally, she'll ask to me to find a pre-printed paper doll online...and that is how we discovered the
Paper Toys website. They only had one girl doll - and she would suffice as a princess (particularly a princess who didn't know she was a princess.)
Of course she needed a prince, and they didn't have a prince, but they did have Bruce Lee!
Complete with paper nun-chucks - Annalise discarded those.
It had several other paper models that we wanted to try - they were a little too hard for the kids. I made Mount Rushmore:

And the Taj Mahal:

I also made a paper T-rex, but the picture was fuzzy and a paper Eiffel Tower, which looked really cool - but Natalie tore it up before I could take its picture - she was mad because I wouldn't let her have a pickle.
