Miami is a very varied place. Because of it's location, there are many different cultures and kinds of people here. Not all of them are here legally either. Well it's not just people, lots of foreign plants take root here too and flourish. And...as it turns out invasive animals...including cute little tree frogs. I was looking online to identify our frogs and I am pretty sure they are Cuban tree frogs. The
University of Florida recommends euthanizing them

Here are our little froggies. We have named this one Toad - even though it is clearly not a toad, but the name stuck.

This one is greener, but Cuban tree frogs evidently come in several color. We call this one Tad.

And this one...ah, well...was sort of a surprise. A few nights ago, I stepped outside and saw three frogs. The next day, there were only two again. I thought I must have been mistaken. For days...just two. And then one day this week - out pops this one. He (or she) has been hiding in the coral rock in the tank. The kids have tried out different names, but I think I like Natalie's suggestion "Tiny Rog".
I am more confident in the identification because this week we found a large tree frog (the body was at least 3 inches long) in our backyard. It had a broken back leg, which made it easier to catch. We didn't keep it, but we looked it over long enough to determine it was the same kind as our little ones.
