Caleb likes to do crafts, so yesterday I searched for an April Fools Day craft that he could make. I didn't find anything suitable until I wasn't actually looking for one anymore - that is, after the kids were in bed. But then I stumbled upon "Surreal Collages" (
deliberately mismatched magazine images and family photos to make hilariously impossible scenes)in the latest issue of Family Fun. Obviously Caleb had to have a lot of help, but he did do most of the gluing and he really liked the results. Here's what we created:
And a picture of our former resident caterpillar munching on the Milkweed. We have not been able to find him and I see no new evidence of leaf eating, so I'm pretty sure he (or she) succumbed to the elements - that is, I think it was eaten by a lizard.
