Once again I'm feeling like Annalise's accomplishments are getting swept under the rug while Caleb plows ahead into uncharted territory. I was looking at her sleeping the other day and suddenly she looked so long! When, I wondered to myself, did she grow so much? And yet, for her age, she is a real shorty. We continually meet kids her age on the playground who are nearly a head taller.
Our girlie is a real ape! She loves to mimic us or Caleb. She only says a few words, but it's clear she under-stands almost everything. One word she has not said yet is "Caleb"! I really am surprised at that. I wonder if it's like when I was a kid, if there was a kid I met who I didn't know very well or who I thought was substantially cooler than me, I was nervous about saying their name out loud. Then again, maybe I'm over thinking this. None of her other words start with a C or K sound.
Lately, Annalise's ensemble isn't complete without a stethoscope. A sign of a future career? I guess time will tell.
Suddenly she can climb, her hair is starting to grow, she's cutting a new tooth, she moves fast enough to consider it a run. She loves to have treats for Mako, but she doesn't like to give them to him! She seems to like to hold it in her little fist and taunt him. She's a funny little person and I'm enjoying getting to know her. :)
